Fiba Group unit eyes EBRD loan for 75 MW of new solar in Turkey
Sep 17, 2024 15:21 CESTISTANBUL (Turkey), December 22 (SeeNews) – Danish wind turbine maker Vestas said it has received an order to supply 34 megawatts (MW) of wind turbines to Turkish power producer Kangal Elektrik Uretim for the second phase of its wind farm in the Turkish province of Sivas.
The deal includes the supply and installation of 17 units of Vestas’ V110-2.0 MW wind turbines and an eight-year full scope Active Output Management (AOM 4000) service agreement, Vestas said in a statement on Friday.
The delivery of the turbines is slated for the third quarter of 2015, with commissioning expected in the fourth quarter of the coming year.
The 34 MW second phase of Kangal’s wind farm will generate enough electricity to power some 200,000 people per year, according to Vestas. The 44 MW first phase of the wind farm operates with 22 units of Vestas’ V100-2.0 MW wind turbines, generating enough power to supply some 227,000 people, Vestas added.
Kangal Elektrik Uretim is a unit of local construction group Ece Tur Construction.
