Denmark’s Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) announced five wind turbine supply orders last week to close the first quarter of the year.

First, the company disclosed a 37-MW order in Poland from a unit of the ORLEN Group. In this case, the customer, namely Energa Green Development, will use the equipment for the Szybowice project in Opolskie. Vestas will supply, deliver and commission 17 V110-2.0 MW wind turbines in 2.2 MW power mode and will service them under a 25-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) deal. Turbine delivery is seen to start in the third quarter of 2025, while commissioning is scheduled for the fourth quarter of the same year.

Then on Friday, Vestas announced an 88-MW order in Sweden, a 77-MW contract in South Korea, an 81-MW deal in Italy, and a 554-MW order in the US.

The Swedish job was awarded by Eolus, which ordered seven V162-6.2 MW units delivered in power mode 6.4 MW, four V162-6.2 MW and four V150-4.5 MW wind turbines. Vestas will supply and commission those as part of the Fagelas, Boarp and Dallebo projects, respectively.

The company expects to initiate turbine deliveries under this order in the first quarter of 2025 and to finish commissioning in the fourth quarter of the year. It will also service the turbines under a long-term AOM 5000 deal.

In Korea, GS E&R has contracted Vestas for the supply and supervision of the installation of 18 of its V136-4.2 MW wind turbines delivered in 4.3 MW operating mode, as part of the YD1 wind farm in Gyeongsang-do. The hardware is to be delivered next year and commissioning is planned for 2026.

In Italy, Edison Rinnovabili has placed an order for the supply and installation of 18 V136-4.5 MW units to be used in the repowering of the Roio del Sangro, Monteferrante Guado, Monteferrante Casone and Montazzoli wind parks, in Abruzzo next year. Vestas also got a 10-year operation and maintenance service agreement for those plants.

Last but not least came the US order, which includes the delivery and commissioning of 123 V163-4.5 MW turbines and their servicing under a multi-year AOM 5000 deal. Vestas, however, did not disclose the name of the client or the project. Turbine delivery is to begin in the third quarter of 2026, with commissioning planned for the first quarter of 2027.
