Vestas stock plummets to 2003 levels after broker cut

Dec 19, 2011 - Shares in Danish wind turbine maker Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) slid to their lowest level since the summer of 2003, after UBS slashed its share price target to DKK 60 from DKK 80, keeping "sell".

By 1318 CET on Monday, the stock had lost 4.87% to DKK 60.60 on the exchange in Copenhagen.

Another reason for the share plunge could be the refusal of US Congress to extend the state support for the renewable energy sector, Danish newswire Ritzau Finans said.
