Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) on Friday announced an order for 41 MW of its wind turbines to be shipped to Spain.

The Danish wind turbine maker said that the machines will be used to build the Barranco del Agua II and the Carrugueiro wind farms in the Iberian country.

Green Mind Ventures, part of Portuguese renewables company Greenvolt Energias Renovaveis SA (ELI:GVOLT), placed the order with Vestas, seeking nine turbines for its projects. The order includes the supply and installation of six units of the V163-4.5 MW turbines and three V136-4.5 MW pieces.

A 20-year Active Output Management (AOM 4000) service agreement for the turbines is included in the contract.

Vestas expects turbine delivery to begin in the second quarter of 2025. Commissioning is planned to take place by the four quarter of the same year.

The installed capacity of the Vestas wind turbine fleet in Spain stands at over 5.2 GW, according to the Danish manufacturer.
