Danish wind turbines maker Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) on Tuesday announced five orders in different countries for a total of 404 MW of turbines as part of its third-quarter order intake.

The customers and projects were not disclosed, except for a 29-MW order in Italy, which was placed by VGE 06 SRL – A2A Energia. Vestas will supply three V162-6.2 MW and two V150-5.4 MW turbines for this project, called Terzo di Banzi. Delivery is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2025 and commissioning for the first half of 2026.

The biggest of the five orders is a 252-MW deal in the US, where the manufacturer will deliver 56 units of its V163-4.5 MW turbine in the third quarter of 2026 and commission them in the first quarter of 2027.

The announcement also includes orders for 50 MW in the Dominican Republic, 46 MW in France and 27 MW in Greece.

In the Dominican Republic, Vestas will supply 11 V163-4.5 MW turbines, the French order is for 21 V110-2.2 MW machines, and the Greek contract is for six V150-4.5 MW turbines. Deliveries will take place in 2025.

Vestas has so far announced 2,190 MW of orders in the third quarter of 2024.

The company today reported results for the second quarter of the year, including a significant increase in order intake to 3.6 GW.
