EC nods to EUR-682m offshore wind support scheme in Belgium
Sep 16, 2024 9:22 CESTJan 16, 2012 - Danish wind turbine maker Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) said today, confirming market speculations, that it had signed a conditional agreement with Belgian Northwind NV, former Eldepasco, for the delivery of 216 MW of wind power capacity.
The turbines will be installed at the Northwind offshore wind project in Belgium.
When the contract becomes firm and unconditional, Vestas will make an announcement, it said.
Northwind is a joint venture between Belgian green energy company Aspiravi, holding 33.3%, and WE Power, part of Belgian Colruyt Group, with a 66.7% stake.
