Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) has kicked off its order announcements for the third quarter with a 347-MW deal in Canada.

The company will provide 56 Enventus V162-6.2 MW turbines for the Pohenegamook - Picard - Saint-Antonin - Wolastokuk (PPAW) wind project in Quebec.

“This is a significant deal for Canada, and we’re thrilled to partner with Invenergy as they continue to expand their North American wind energy portfolio,” said Laura Beane, president of Vestas North America.

The wind project was selected by Hydro-Quebec in March 2023. It is being developed by US clean energy developer Invenergy in partnership with Alliance de l'Energie de l'Est.

Vestas’ contract includes supply, delivery and commissioning of the turbines, as well as a multi-year service agreement. Delivery and commissioning are due to take place in 2025.
