IEA urges proactive measures to integrate renewables
Sep 18, 2024 11:17 CEST(ADPnews) - May 27, 2011 - Danish wind turbine maker Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) said today it won an order to supply 73 units of its V90-3.0 MW turbine to the Alta Wind Energy Center project located near Tehachapi in the US state of California.
The order was placed by subsidiaries of Alta Wind Holdings LLC, which in turn is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Terra-Gen Power LLC.
Vestas will deliver and commission a total 300 MW of capacity, including a service agreement for 81 MW entered in 2010. The deal also includes a five-year service and maintenance agreement.
Delivery is due in the autumn of 2011 and commissioning is expected in late 2011.
