Vienna to invest EUR 1.14m in energy competence centre

May 9, 2013 – Vienna will invest EUR 1.14 million (USD 1.5m) in own energy competence sector, city councillor Maria Vassilakou said on Wednesday.

The centre will gather experts, researcher and technicians that will consult the city of Vienna in energy issues and will develop pilot projects. The team will also work on attracting European subsidies.

In particular, the centre will deal with subjects such as energy supply, renovation, renewable energy and power storage.
