A company within French concessions and construction group Vinci SA (EPA:DG) has been awarded a contract to build infrastructure for the 37-MW Sud-Vienne-Nord-Charente wind farm project in central France.

Omexom RE Wind, part of Vinci Energies and leader of a joint venture with two Vinci Construction units, is set to install foundations for the wind farm, carry out all electrical works and ground reinforcement, and build 50,000 square metres of roadways and platforms, the Vinci group said on Friday.

The works will precede the installation of 17 pieces of the Vestas V110 wind turbines with a unit capacity of 2.2 MW, according to the brief statement.
