Vista Solar to install nearly 200-kW rooftop solar array in California

Feb 1, 2013 - US solar systems installer Vista Solar Inc will build a 192.8-kW rooftop solar system in California, a local manufacturer said yesterday.

The installation, to be constructed on top of the factory of hardwood shutter maker San Benito Shutter Co Inc in Hollister, will generate over 272,000 kWh of power and mitigate more than 400,000 pounds (181 metric tonnes) of carbon dioxide in the first year.

The solar array, which is due to be completed this spring, will result in savings of USD 2.1 million (EUR 1.5m) for San Benito Shutter over its lifespan, the company estimates.
