French renewables company Voltalia SA (EPA:VLTSA) said on Tuesday it has won five projects with a combined capacity of 28 MW in recent renewable energy tenders in France.

The projects, secured directly by the company or through its subsidiary Helexia, envisage the construction of one wind park and four solar photovoltaic (PV) plants in France and French Guiana.

Currently under construction in the Yonne department, the 22-MW Sarry wind farm is the largest of the assets Voltalia was awarded. The firm was also awarded a 3-MW PV project for the agricultural sector in the South region following the 3-MW Cabanon agrivoltaic project Voltalia won in February 2018. Both arrays will use bifacial PV modules mounted on trackers, the company pointed out.

Through Helexia, the firm won a 1.4-MW solar parking shelter project for a hypermarket in French Guiana as well as two self-consumption projects in mainland France with a combined capacity of 1.2 MW, to be implemented on the roofs of an Auchan store and a Decathlon store.
