World set to install 593 GW of new solar in 2024 - Ember
Sep 19, 2024 13:28 CESTFrench renewable power plants operator Voltalia SA (EPA:VLTSA) has received a new operations and maintenance (O&M) contract in Brazil that has lifted the capacity it operates for third-party clients over the 6-GW threshold.
The Paris-based company announced on Monday that the deal has brought the capacity in its global O&M fleet run for third parties to 6.4 GW, moving it closer to its 2027 goal.
"We are progressing rapidly toward our 2027 objective of 8 GW operated for third-parties globally,” said Sebastien Clerc, CEO of Voltalia.
The latest contract was awarded by three customers in Brazil. The companies, whose names were not specified, have hired Voltalia to provide predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance, stock management and auxiliary services for solar parks forming part of the Arinos cluster. Located in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais, the specific cluster was developed by the French company and later sold to local companies.
