Battolyser Systems raises EUR 30m in Series A funding round
Sep 12, 2024 11:35 CESTJan 3, 2014 - Dutch oil storage firm Royal Vopak (AMS:VPK) has received approval from the Spanish government to expand its terminal in Algeciras near Gibraltar, a report by the Spanish energy and mining ministry showed Thursday.
The expansion envisages 881,000 cu m (31.1m cu ft) of storage capacity spread over 36 new tanks. The terminal's current capacity is 403,000 cu m with 22 storage tanks.
Vopak owns 80% of the terminal that was opened in the spring of 2013.
Vopak was not immediately available for comment when contacted by Dutch news agency AFN but told Bloomberg a final decision on the terminal's expansion was still pending since a feasibility study was under way.
