Qair’s Green Switch wins permit for 50-MW British PV park
Sep 20, 2024 5:48 CESTJun 21, 2012 - Nevada-based green energy technology company W2 Energy Inc (PINK:WTWO) said Thursday it had been chosen to construct a USD-5-million (EUR 4m) coal/waste-to-fuel prototype facility in Botswana.
The company said it had received commitment for the project from BCL Ltd, which is 93%-owned by the local government.
The plant is to produce 1,000 gallons (3,800 litres) of fuel daily. W2 Energy intends to use the Enhanced Fuel Refinery System of EGM World LLC that will allow it to boost output to 2,000 gallons a day. The firm calculates that the coal/waste to liquid (CTL) prototype plant will fetch USD 2.7 million of revenues per year only from fuel production, considering the current diesel prices in Botswana of USD 3.68 per gallon.
BCL has already committed to ink power and fuel purchase agreement for all of the CTL facility's power and fuel output, W2 Energy said.
