Iberdrola inaugurates 496-MW Saint-Brieuc wind farm offshore France
Sep 19, 2024 16:25 CESTFinnish technology group Wartsila Corp (HEL:WRT1V) has been awarded an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) deal involving a new 100-MW/100-MWh energy storage project in South East Asia.
The company did not mention where the project is located and did not unveil the name of the client. It noted, though, that the contract includes the use of Wartsila’s energy management software platform GEMS and GridSolv solution for grid support purposes.
According to Wartsila, its latest job will help provide some of the reliability necessary to support the region’s transition to renewable energy sources.
Last July, the company got a very similar order for an unnamed client also in South East Asia.
