Japanese consortium to study floating vertical axis wind turbines
Sep 11, 2024 15:57 CEST(ADPnews) - May 19, 2011 - Japanese Watami Co Ltd (TYO:7522) plans to develop a 2-MW wind farm in northern Japan to power its nursing care homes and other facilities, Nikkei reported today.
The company will partner on the JPY-600-million (USD 7.3m/EUR 5m) project with a wind farm developer, details of which were not provided. The installation should start providing electricity to the nursing homes in the spring of 2011, according to the report.
Watami's major business involves the operation of restaurants mainly in Tokyo.
