German energy group RWE AG (ETR:RWE) has bought the controlling stake held by Innogy SE (ETR:IGY) in a Czech gas grid business as part of a larger deal with peer E.on SE (ETR:EOAN) that also involves renewables.

Australia-based concentrating solar power (CSP) firm Vast Solar is looking to raise AUD 75 million from strategic partners to finance an upcoming 50-MW hybrid project.

The European Commission (EC) gave the green light to RWE AG’s (ETR:RWE) planned acquisition of the renewable and nuclear power generation operations of E.on SE (ETR:EOAN).

French utility Engie SA (EPA:ENGI) has acquired the bio methane producing arm of renewable energy specialist Vol-V SAS.

Shell New Energies, part of Anglo-Dutch oil giant Royal Dutch Shell (AMS:RDSA) has agreed to buy UK virtual power plant (VPP) operator Limejump, the latter said.

German wind and solar park operator Encavis AG (ETR:CAP) said it has invested EUR 40 million in wind and solar assets in Bavaria for institutional investors.

The Renewables Infrastructure Group (TRIG) has agreed to acquire the 100% shareholding held by Swedish developers Arise AB (STO:ARISE) and Sydvastanvind AB in a 212.9-MW wind farm in Sweden.

German industrial giant Siemens AG (ETR:SIE) said it will acquire the string inverter business of power electronics maker KACO New Energy GmbH, without disclosing the financial terms of the deal.

Japanese renewables developer Renova Inc announced it has acquired all of a newly completed 21.6-MW photovoltaic (PV) power plant in Mie prefecture.

Brazil's Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) approved without restrictions the acquisition by EDP Renovaveis Brasil SA of a 41.58-MW wind project from local firm Monte Verde VI.
-- Statkraft plans sale of stakes in 500-MW Norwegian wind portfolio
Norwegian state-owned utility Statkraft AS intends to sell minority stakes in four wholly-owned wind farms in Sweden with a combined capacity of some 500 MW, its CEO was quoted as saying.

Buyout firm Apollo Global Management LLC has built a stake of 6% in US renewable and conventional power producer Clearway Energy Inc (NYSE:NYLD) regardless of the uncertainty surrounding some of its supply contracts, Reuters reports.
