-- Red Rock buys 72-MW consented Scottish wind scheme from RWE

Edinburgh-based Red Rock Power Ltd has bought an up to 72-MW permitted wind project in Scotland’s Dumfries and Galloway area from German energy major RWE AG (ETR:RWE).

-- PKN Orlen to buy 89.4-MW wind farm portfolio in Poland

Polish oil refiner PKN Orlen (WSE:PKN) has struck a deal to acquire the owner of 89.4 MW of onshore wind farms at home in a deal worth PLN 380 million.

-- Petrobras to sell stake in 26-MW wind park to FIP Pirineus

Brazilian state-controlled company Petroleo Brasileiro SA (BVMF:PETR4), or Petrobras, has inked an agreement to sell its 51% stake in a 26-MW wind park to investment fund FIP Pirineus.

-- EDF buys into solar installer Bboxx's Kenyan ops

Bboxx Ltd, a UK-headquartered next generation utility that delivers solar home systems (SHS), unveiled a couple of deals to support its business in Kenya, including a minority investment from Electricite de France SA (EPA:EDF).

-- Chevron invests in Swedish geothermal heat power co

Swedish geothermal heat power company Baseload Capital AB has closed a USD-25-million funding round that introduced the venture capital arm of US-based oil major Chevron Corporation (NYSE:CVX) as a new strategic investor.

-- SEEIT wraps up US C&I portfolio acquisition and Onyx stake buy

SDCL Energy Efficiency Income Trust plc (LON:SEIT), or SEEIT, has wrapped up the acquisition of over 175 MW of commercial and industrial (C&I) solar and storage systems in the US and a 50% stake in their developer Onyx Renewable Partners.

-- Abengoa to sell stakes in CSP plant, O&M co in S Africa to Engie

Spanish engineering and renewables group Abengoa SA has agreed to sell its entire equity stake in the 100-MW Xina Solar One concentrated solar power (CSP) plant in South Africa to French utility Engie SA (EPA:ENGI), the companies announced.

-- NESF buys 100 MW of solar assets in UK

NextEnergy Solar Fund Ltd (LON:NESF) said it has purchased the Camden solar portfolio in the UK with a total capacity of 100 MWp.

-- Atlantica to buy 3rd largest US geothermal power plant

Clean energy company Atlantica Sustainable Infrastructure plc (NASDAQ:AY) has signed a deal to acquire Coso Geothermal Power Holdings LLC, owner of a 135-MW geothermal power plant in California.

-- WEC Energy to buy majority stake in 195-MW Kansas wind farm

US power and gas supplier WEC Energy Group Inc (NYSE:WEC) has signed an agreement to buy a 90% stake in the up to 195-MW Jayhawk wind farm in Kansas, the company said.

-- Energiekontor unloads 50-MW Scottish wind project to Capital Dynamics

German renewables developer and operator Energiekontor AG (ETR:EKT) said it has sold a 50-MW zero-subsidy wind project in Scotland to global private asset manager Capital Dynamics.

-- India's Adani Green discusses buying 250-MW solar project - report

Adani Green Energy Ltd (BOM:541450), or AGEL, is holding advanced talks to buy a 250-MW solar project in the Indian state of Rajasthan from Hero Future Energies Pvt Ltd (HFE), the Economic Times reports.

-- French state investor CDC buys into renewables co Albioma

French public investment company Caisse des Depots et Consignations, or CDC, has acquired an indirect holding of 10% in domestic renewable energy producer Albioma SA (EPA:ABIO), which is worth around EUR 132 million based on current stock prices.

-- Adapture Renewables buys 81-MWp solar project from Q CELLS

Solar project developer and plant operator Adapture Renewables Inc has finalised the acquisition of an 81-MWp solar park in Texas’ Cooke County from a US subsidiary of South Korean photovoltaics (PV) manufacturer Q CELLS.

-- Eesti Energia's green arm to buy owner of 20-MW wind project in Estonia

Estonian state-owned energy company Eesti Energia AS announced an agreement to buy domestic wind project developer Raunistal, which owns a 20-MW wind project in the most northeastern part of Estonia.

-- Hill & Smith buys off-grid solar co Prolectric Services

Sustainable infrastructure and safe transport solutions provider Hill & Smith Holdings Plc (LON:HILS) has bought UK off-grid solar energy solutions supplier Prolectric Services Ltd for up to GBP 18.2 million.

-- JLEN acquires 50-MW Li-ion battery storage project in UK

JLEN Environmental Assets Group Ltd (LON:JLEN) said it has acquired a 100% equity stake in Gigabox South Road Limited (GSRL), which holds the development rights to build a 50-MW lithium-ion battery storage system in Dundee, UK.

-- EDP Renewables formally takes 85% of DG solar platform C2 Omega

The North American arm of Portuguese energy giant EDP (ELI:EDP) said it has wrapped up the acquisition of an 85% interest in distributed generation (DG) solar company C2 Omega LLC and its 89-MW operating platform.

-- Cloudberry makes hydro purchases in Norway

Nordic renewables company Cloudberry Clean Energy AS said it has signed a deal to buy Norwegian hydropower producer Ramsliana Kraft AS for an undisclosed sum, with the opportunity to secure a separate hydro project as well.

-- TNB to buy into 21.6 MWp of Sunseap-owned rooftop PV plants in Vietnam

Malaysian utility Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) said it will buy a minority interest in a 21.6-MWp rooftop solar portfolio in Vietnam from Singapore’s Sunseap Group Pte Ltd.

Denmark’s Ørsted A/S (CPH:ORSTED) and its joint venture (JV) partner Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) have struck a deal to sell the power transmission assets of the 1.2-GW Hornsea One wind farm off east England.
