-- Ficus Capital acquires 18-MW PV project in Argentina

Montevideo-based investor Ficus Capital has acquired Sol de Bermejo, an 18-MW solar photovoltaic (PV) project that will be built in the Argentine province of La Rioja.

-- Innergex to shed interest in Icelandic geothermal business

Innergex Renewable Energy Inc (TSE:INE) said it has agreed to sell the Swedish subsidiary that owns a controlling stake in Icelandic geothermal company HS Orka hf and also updated its 2019 financial guidance.

-- India's Suzlon gets rid of 2 solar subsidiaries

Indian wind turbine manufacturer Suzlon Energy Ltd (BOM:532667) has sold two solar power subsidiaries for a total of INR 991 million.

-- Brazil's Cade okays J Malucelli's buyout of 187-MW wind portfolio

Brazil's antitrust regulator Cade has approved the acquisition by J. Malucelli Gerenciadora de Projetos e Analise de Riscos Ltda of the stakes it does not already own in 187 MW of wind power plants.

-- UK's Quercus completes acquisition of 39-MW Italian wind farm

London-based Quercus Assets Selection Sarl announced it has completed the acquisition of a 39-MW wind park in Basilicata, Italy, from Denmark’s European Energy A/S.

-- Italy's ERG to expand in France with 52-MW wind buy

Italian energy company ERG SpA (BIT:ERG) said it has agreed to buy a French company that owns six wind farms in northern France with a combined capacity of 52 MW.

-- France's EDF to buy into 500 MW of Chinese offshore wind

French utility EDF SA (EPA:EDF) has agreed to buy into a couple of Chinese offshore wind projects with a combined capacity of 500 MW, it was announced.

-- Marguerite adds another 50 MW of solar in Spanish acquisition spree

Pan-European equity fund Marguerite announced the acquisition of an 80% stake in a 50-MW solar photovoltaic (PV) project in Andalusia from Spain’s OPDEnergy for an undisclosed sum.

-- Man Energy Solutions acquires 40% of hydrogen tech firm H-tec Systems

German manufacturer Man Energy Solutions, a subsidiary of carmaker Volkswagen AG (ETR:VOW3), announced it has agreed to acquire a 40% stake in domestic electrolysis technology company H-tec Systems.

-- Shunfeng to shed Wuxi Suntech, manufacturing, overseas ops

Seeking to reduce its debt, China’s Shunfeng International Clean Energy Ltd (HKG:1165) has conditionally agreed to sell the subsidiary that owns solar module supplier Wuxi Suntech Power and includes its upstream manufacturing business and other overseas operations.

Brookfield Renewable Partners LP (TSE:BEP.UN) will make a CAD-750-million capital injection into TransAlta Corp (TSE:TA) to help the Calgary-based utility transition to 100% clean energy by 2025.

-- EU suspends E.on, Innogy deal review

The European Commission (EC) has suspended its investigation into German utility E.on's (ETR:EOAN) planned takeover of certain assets from domestic peer Innogy (ETR:IGY), according to a filing published on the regulator's website.

-- Active Energy closes buy of US site for biomass fuel production

UK-based renewables firm Active Energy Group Plc (LON:AEG) has wrapped up the purchase of an industrial site in the US state of North Carolina, where it plans to house the first permanent production facility for its CoalSwitch biomass fuel.

-- Vortex Energy wraps up sale of minority in 998 MW wind portfolio

European renewable energy platform Vortex Energy has closed the sale of a 49% stake in its 998-MW Pan-European wind portfolio to institutional investors advised by JP Morgan Asset Management.

-- Enel buys 13-GW US renewables pipeline, immediately sells almost half

Enel Green Power North America Inc has bought Kansas-based renewables developer Tradewind Energy Inc together with its 13-GW development pipeline, but has immediately agreed the sale of a portion of that platform.

British renewable energy company RES announced it has expanded its support services portfolio to 5 GW by purchasing the asset management business of compatriot REG Power Management (RPM).

-- Fred. Olsen Ocean buys 50% in German offshore wind services provider

Fred. Olsen Ocean Ltd (FOO) has bought a 50% stake in Hamburg-based United Wind Logistics GmbH (UWL), which offers services within marine transportation of various offshore wind turbine components.

-- EnBW holds exclusive talks to buy French renewables developer Valeco

German electric utility EnBW Energie Baden-Wuerttemberg AG (ETR:EBK) has been selected as the exclusive bidder in the competition to take over French wind and solar farms developer Valeco Group.

-- Greencoat UK Wind completes acquisition of 367 MW of Scottish wind

Greencoat UK Wind Plc (LON:UKW), a renewable infrastructure fund managed by Greencoat Capital LLP, said it has completed the acquisition of three wind power assets totalling 367 MW in Scotland.

-- Daimler, Geely form electric car JV

German automotive group Daimler AG (ETR:DAI) said it has agreed to form a 50:50 joint venture for the Smart electric vehicles with its major shareholder, Chinese sector company Geely.

-- TRIG pockets GBP 302m from heavily oversubscribed share placement

The Renewables Infrastructure Group Ltd (LON:TRIG) said on it has raised GBP 302.1 million gross from the sale of new ordinary stock in a transaction that was “heavily oversubscribed.”

-- GCL New Energy to shed controlling stake in 280 MW of solar assets

Chinese solar power producer GCL New Energy Holdings Ltd (HKG:0451) said it has agreed to dispose of a 55% interest in three subsidiaries that together own 280 MW of photovoltaic (PV) parks in China.

-- Meyer Burger formally acquires 18.4% stake in new partner Oxford PV

Swiss solar industry supplier Meyer Burger Technology AG (SWX:MBTN) has formalised its entry into the share capital of Oxford Photovoltaics Ltd by acquiring a stake of 18.4%.

-- Greencoat Renewables buys more of 108-MW Irish wind farm

Greencoat Renewables Plc (LON:GRP) announced it has lifted its shareholding in the 108-MW Cloosh Valley wind farm in Ireland to 75% by acquiring a further 25% interest.

-- Enercon begins work on 844-MW Swedish wind project, seeks co-investors

German wind turbine maker Enercon GmbH has commenced the search for a co-investor in an 844-MW Swedish onshore wind project on which the company has already initiated infrastructure works.

-- Lego's parent to take control of US solar firm Enerparc

Kirkbi A/S, the private investment firm that controls Danish toy maker Lego, has inked a deal to buy a majority stake of an undisclosed size in US solar developer Enerparc Inc.

-- Ence closes financing for 50-MW CSP purchase in Spain

Spanish company Ence Energia y Celulosa SA (BME:ENC) announced it has closed financing for the acquisition of 90% in a 50-MW solar thermal power plant located in the Iberian country.

-- Chesf concludes transfer of stakes in 254.5-MW wind portfolio to Brennand

Brazil's federally-owned utility Chesf announced it has completed the transfer of its interest in 254.5 MW of wind power capacity to Brennand Energia.

-- TRIG acquires 40-MW under-construction wind farm in France

The Renewables Infrastructure Group Ltd (LON:TRIG) has bought the 40-MW Tille et Venelle wind farm being built in Burgundy, central France.

-- SunPower eyes cash boost with 233-MW sale to Goldman Sachs

SunPower Corp (NASDAQ:SPWR) has agreed to unload a 233-MW portfolio of commercial solar project leases to a subsidiary of Goldman Sachs Renewable Power LLC for up to USD 86.9 million.
