Special purpose acquisition company Alussa Energy Acquisition Corp (NYSE:ALUS) has set up a new holding company in Luxembourg and filed a prospectus for its planned merger with Norway’s Freyr AS.

-- Iberdrola inks deal to buy 163 MW of onshore wind in Poland

Spanish utility group Iberdrola SA (BME:IBE) announced that it has reached an agreement to acquire 163 MW of onshore wind power capacity in Poland from private equity company CEE Equity Partners.

-- Simply Blue, Subsea 7 team up on 200-MW floating wind project off Scotland

Irish renewables developer Simply Blue Energy and offshore contractor Subsea 7 SA (OSL:SUBC) said they will collaborate on the Salamander floating wind project set to be located off the north-east coast of Scotland.

-- US Solar Fund completes buy of 25% in 200-MW California solar park

US Solar Fund Plc (LON:USF) has completed the acquisition of a 25% stake in the 200-MW Mount Signal 2 (MS2) solar power plant in the Imperial Valley of Southern California, the London-listed fund said.

-- Sonnedix buys 5 MW of solar in Spain

Sonnedix Power Holdings Ltd has acquired a portfolio of 5.1 MW of fully operating photovoltaic (PV) parks in Spain from managing firm Diversis Energia SL and energy project developer Grupo Enerpal.

-- Southern Power buys majority stake in 300-MW wind farm in S Dakota

US wholesale energy provider Southern Power announced the acquisition of majority interest in a 300-MW wind farm in South Dakota from Chicago-based Invenergy LLC.

-- Falck enters Spanish solar market with 50-MW PV plant acquisition

Italy-based company Falck Renewables SpA (BIT:FKR) has signed a share purchase agreement (SPA) to acquire a 49.88-MW solar plant in Spain, marking its entry in the country's solar market.

-- Pacifico Renewables closes buy of 15.6-MW wind farm in Germany

German renewable energy investment firm Pacifico Renewables Yield AG said it has closed the purchase of a 15.6-MW wind farm in Germany’s southwestern state of Rhineland-Palatinate.

-- Cubico finalises Grupo T-Solar buy to grow renewables base in Spain, Italy

Cubico Sustainable Investments Ltd announced that it has finalised the acquisition of Grupo T-Solar Global SA, a Spanish solar energy platform with an enterprise value of around EUR 1.5 billion.

-- S&B USA to buy 200-MW Texas solar project from GIG's Savion

Savion, which is a portfolio company of Macquarie’s Green Investment Group (GIG), has struck a deal to sell a 200-MW solar project in Texas to construction and real estate group S&B USA, previously known as Shikun and Binui America.

-- Shell buying Vattenfall's stake in 108-MW Dutch offshore wind JV

Anglo-Dutch oil major Royal Dutch Shell Plc (AMS,LON:RDSA) is buying Vattenfall’s 50% interest in the company behind the 108-MW Egmond aan Zee offshore wind farm in the Netherlands.

Polish oil refiner PKN Orlen (WSE:PKN) has received regulatory clearance to expand its renewables portfolio with the acquisition of roughly 90 MW of onshore wind farms in the Pomerania Province.

-- Etrion agrees 3 solar plant sales in Japan, negotiating 4th

Independent power producer Etrion Corp (TSE:ETX) will sell its interest in three operating solar parks in Japan with a combined capacity of 47.2 MW for a total of JPY 8.252 billion.

-- Greencoat buys 35.6-MW REFIT-backed Irish wind farm from John Laing

Irish renewable infrastructure company Greencoat Renewables Plc (LON:GRP) announced the acquisition of a 35.6-MW wind farm in Ireland’s County Tipperary from UK-based infrastructure investor John Laing Investments Ltd.

US thin-film photovoltaics (PV) maker First Solar Inc (NASDAQ:FSLR) said it has completed the sale of its North American operations and maintenance (O&M) business to NovaSource Power Services.

-- CEZ Group completes sale of Romanian assets to Macquarie

Czech energy group CEZ said that it has completed the sale of its assets in Romania to funds managed by Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (MIRA), part of global financial services organisation Macquarie Group.

-- Enercon sells 117-MW wind farm in Uruguay to DIF Capital Partners

German wind turbine maker Enercon GmbH has sold its entire interest in a company that owns the 117-MW Peralta I and II wind farm in Uruguay.

-- DIF Capital Partners sells 180 MW of wind, solar farms to France's Kallista

Infrastructure fund manager DIF Capital Partners announced that it has sold a portfolio of 180 MW of wind and solar farms in France and Germany.

-- France's Akuo Energy wraps up acquisition of PVB Power Bulgaria

France-based renewable energy power group Akuo Energy said that it completed the acquisition of PVB Power Bulgaria, which has a portfolio of five hydroelectric plants with a total installed capacity of 15.5 MW located on the Iskar river.

-- ReneSola closes sale of 12.3 MW of solar farms in Hungary

Solar projects specialist ReneSola Ltd (NYSE:SOL) said that it has wrapped up the sale of 12.3 MW of solar farms in Hungary.

-- Aquila European Renewables to buy half of 60-MW solar farm in Portugal

London-listed investment firm Aquila European Renewables Income Fund plc (LON:AERS), or AERIF, announced a deal to purchase a 50% stake in a 60-MWp solar farm in Portugal.

-- Leeward closes buy of 10-GW First Solar project platform

Leeward Renewable Energy LLC has completed the acquisition of a 10-GW utility-scale solar project platform from US thin-film module maker First Solar Inc (NASDAQ:FSLR).

-- GCL-Poly, GNE to sell 790 MW of Chinese solar plants to cut debt

Chinese polysilicon maker GCL-Poly Energy Holdings Ltd (HKG:3800) and its troubled solar plants operating unit GCL New Energy Holdings Ltd (HKG:0451), or GNE, are preparing to sell interests in 790 MW of solar assets to a unit of China Three Gorges Group Co Ltd.

-- ECP continuation fund to own 50% of Terra-Gen

The first continuation fund of energy and infrastructure investor ECP has acquired a 50% stake in US renewables developer Terra-Gen LLC, which has over 1.6 GW of assets in operation and 3 GW of projects in advanced development.

-- Vinci inks binding deal to buy ACS's energy biz with renewables in tow

French concessions and construction group Vinci SA (EPA:DG) has signed a binding agreement to acquire the energy business, including the renewables platform, of Spanish civil and construction engineering giant ACS Actividades de Construccion y Servicios SA (BME:ACS), the companies announced.

-- Greece's Motor Oil agrees 240-MW wind farm acquisition

Greek petroleum refiner Motor Oil Hellas SA (FRA:MHZ) has struck a preliminary deal to buy a 240-MW wind farm portfolio at home for around EUR 123.5 million, it said.

-- Sunnova wraps up acquisition of Lennar’s residential solar platform

Sunnova Energy International Inc (NYSE:NOVA) said it has closed the purchase of the SunStreet residential solar platform of homebuilder Lennar Corporation (NYSE:LEN; NYSE:LEN.B).

-- ILI Group sells 50-MW battery storage project in Scotland

Scottish developer Intelligent Land Investments, or ILI Group, said it has closed the sale of a 50-MW battery storage project in Scotland to Abbey Group Cambridgeshire Ltd and YooGen1 LLP.
