-- Brazil's Eletrobras approves offer for stake in 26-MW wind park

Brazilian power distributor Centrais Eletricas Brasileiras SA (BVMF:ELET3), or Eletrobras, has approved the binding offer made by investment fund FIP Pirineus to acquire its 49% interest in the 26-MW Mangue Seco 2 wind farm.

Chinese silicon wafers supplier Tianjin Zhonghuan Semiconductor Co Ltd (SHE:002129), or TZS, has obtained the needed regulatory clearances at home to invest in a solar manufacturing operation that will be spun off of SunPower (NASDAQ:SPWR).

-- Etrion done getting rid of non-core solar assets

Solar power producer Etrion Corp (TSE:ETX) said that with the sale of its interest in a Chilean photovoltaic (PV) plant it no longer has assets deemed non-core.

As announced earlier, Canada-based Innergex Renewable Energy Inc (TSE:INE) has acquired the 68-MW Salvador PV plant in Chile for USD 46.6 million (EUR 43m).
