-- Kazatomprom selling 75% stake in Kazakh PV production ops

Kazakh uranium producer JSC NAC Kazatomprom has agreed to sell a 75% stake in its solar photovoltaic (PV) cell and module production activities to a consortium of strategic investors.

-- Solarpack to buy two Peruvian solar farms in USD-51.5m deal

Solarpack Corporacion Tecnologica SA (BME:SPK) has agreed to purchase a 90.5% stake in two solar photovoltaic (PV) projects in southern Peru for USD 51.5 million to bring its ownership to 100%.

-- Octopus buys 18-MW wind project in France from RES

UK onshore renewables investor Octopus Energy Investments said it has purchased an 18-MW under-construction wind park in France from UK-based Renewable Energy Systems Ltd (RES).

-- Orix intervenes IL&FS's 874-MW wind portfolio sale to GAIL

Japanese financial services conglomerate Orix Corp (TYO:8591) wants to take full control of an 874-MW wind portfolio in India that is currently co-owned with and controlled by the IL&FS Group.

-- Brazil's CPFL Energia makes offer to buy State Grid's stake in renewables arm

Brazilian energy company CPFL Energia (BVMF:CPFE3) has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with its controlling shareholder State Grid Brazil Power Participacoes SA aimed at buying the latter's shares in CPFL Energias Renovaveis (BVMF:CPRE3).

-- EDP, Engie to form co-controlled offshore wind major

Portuguese utility Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP) and its French peer Engie SA (EPA:ENGI) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) by which they have agreed to form a 50/50 joint venture to explore opportunities in the offshore wind market.

-- CEZ declines comment on reported plans to sell Romanian business

Czech energy group CEZ declined to comment on media reports that it plans to sell its business in Romania.

-- Jacques Veyrat refutes rumours over Neoen sale plan - report

Jacques Veyrat does not plan to sell renewable power producer Neoen SAS (EPA:NEOEN), he has told Les Echos, thus rebuffing an earlier media report saying that the French businessman would be ready to shed Neoen in exchange for a minority interest in domestic energy company Engie (EPA:ENGI).

-- Enertis says Goldman Sachs bought 500 MW of solar in Q1

Goldman Sachs Renewable Power LLC has acquired more than 500 MW of solar capacity in the first quarter of 2019, according to Enertis, the consulting and engineering firm that provided technical due diligence for the buyer.

-- Futuren takes full control of French wind co TUIC

French wind power producer Futuren SA (EPA:FTRN) said it now controls 100% of investment vehicle Theolia Utilities Investment Co (TUIC), which owns 68 MW of wind assets in France.

-- Deutsche Werte taps into Greece's solar market

German investment holding firm Deutsche Werte Holding (DWH) has become a shareholder in Greek renewables firm Maximus Terra SA and will join it in the development of a 200-MW solar portfolio.

-- GCL to sell majority stake in 977-MW Chinese solar portfolio

GCL-Poly Energy Holdings Ltd (HKG:3800) and its majority-owned unit GCL New Energy Holdings Ltd (HKG:0451), or GNE, have agreed to sell controlling stakes in 19 Chinese solar power plants with a total capacity of 977 MW.

-- Voltalia negotiating takeover of solar installer Helexia

French renewable power producer Voltalia SA (EPA:VLTSA) is exclusively negotiating the acquisition of solar and energy efficiency firm Helexia.

-- Innergex sells HS Orka stake to Jarovarmi, not Macquarie

Innergex Renewable Energy Inc (TSE:INE) has finalised the sale of its controlling stake in Icelandic geothermal company HS Orka hf, but instead to a fund managed by Macquarie it sold the interest to Jarovarmi slhf.

-- Canadian Solar closes sale of 68-MW Mexican plant to BlackRock fund

Canadian Solar Inc (NASDAQ:CSIQ) has concluded the sale of its 68-MWp Aguascalientes solar project in Mexico to BlackRock Infrastructure Fund II for an undisclosed sum.

-- CEE buys 16.5-MW wind farm in Germany from Max Boegl

Hamburg-based private equity group CEE has acquired a 16.5-MW wind farm in Germany’s Saarland state from compatriot Max Boegl Group.

-- US clears RWE's acquisition of E.on's local renewable ops

The US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has approved German utility RWE AG's (ETR:RWE) acquisition of the North American renewable energy business of German rival E.on (ETR:EOAN).

-- ContourGlobal closes sale of 49% stake in Spanish CSP portfolio

ContourGlobal Plc (LON:GLO) completed the sale of a 49% stake in the 250-MW Spanish concentrated solar power (CSP) portfolio it purchased from Acciona SA (BME:ANA) in early 2018.

-- Singapore's USP to sell biofuel business for USD 4m

Singapore-based diverse business group USP Group Ltd (SGX:BRS) has entered into a legally binding term sheet to sell a controlling stake in its biofuel subsidiary to AJ Jetting Pte Ltd.

-- Infigen says buying gas plant to further expand in renewables

Australia’s Infigen Energy (ASX:IFN) announced the acquisition of a 109-MW gas plant in New South Wales, saying this would allow the company to profitably grow intermittent renewable energy generation by 300 MW to 400 MW.

-- Canadian co-operative buying Terra Grain Fuels ethanol plant

Federated Co-operatives Ltd (FCL), the largest non-financial co-operative in Canada, expects to formally close the acquisition of the Terra Grain Fuels (TGF) ethanol plant in Saskatchewan.

-- Toshiba, Siemens Gamesa are among Senvion suitors - report

Japan’s Toshiba Corp (TYO:6502), Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA (BME:SGRE) are among the companies considering the acquisition of German wind turbine maker Senvion SE (ETR:SEN), Manager Magazine reports.
