-- KKR unit targeting 135-MW FRV solar project in India - report

A unit of US private equity group KKR & Co (NYSE:KKR) is in advanced talks to buy the 135-MW Indian solar portfolio of Spain-based Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV), the Economic Times reports.

-- Romania's Hidroelectrica planning to bid for 108 MW wind farm

Romanian majority state-owned hydro power producer Hidroelectrica said it is planning to bid for an 108 MW wind farm located in Constanta county currently owned by German energy group STEAG.

-- India's Acme Solar eyeing sale of 4.84 GW of projects - report

Indian developer Acme Solar Holdings Ltd is working under the radar to sell 4.84 GW of solar projects and operating assets, local newspaper Mint reported citing three people in the know.

-- Cemig launches public call for wind power projects

Brazilian utility Cia Energetica de Minas Gerais SA (BVMF:CMIG4), better known as Cemig, has launched a public call to potentially acquire wind projects.

-- JinkoSolar unit to raise USD 456m with eyes locked on future STAR Market listing

Chinese solar module maker JinkoSolar Holding Co Ltd (NYSE:JKS) plans to list its principal operating subsidiary on the Shanghai Stock Exchange's Sci-Tech innovation board, also known as the STAR Market, in the next three years.

Italian energy major Enel SpA (BIT:ENEL) is initiating the process to reorganise its non-conventional renewable energy businesses in Central and South America into its Chile-based, majority-owned unit Enel Americas SA (NYSE:ENIA).

-- Canadian Solar offloads 23-MW solar project in Alberta

Canadian Solar Inc (NASDAQ:CSIQ) said it has finalised the sale of the 23-MW Suffield solar project in Alberta to BluEarth Renewables.

-- Ocean Power Technologies to sell shares to Aspire Capital Fund

Ocean Power Technologies Inc (NASDAQ:OPTT), or OPT, announced an agreement to sell common stock worth up to USD 12.5 million to US institutional investor Aspire Capital Fund LLC over a period of 30 months.

-- PKN Orlen launches tender offer for rest of Energa

Polish energy company PKN Orlen (WAR:PKN) said it is ready to buy the 20% it does not own in the Energa Group at PLN 8.35 per share.

-- Greenbacker buys rights to solar-storage combo in Colorado

Greenbacker Renewable Energy Company LLC has bought the rights to a 22-MW alternating current (AC) solar project with 1.3 MW of battery storage capacity, it said.

-- Nautilus buys 17-MW solar bundle from Pine Gate Renewables

Nautilus Solar Energy LLC has purchased solar photovoltaic (PV) projects of 17 MW in total in Oregon and Rhode Island for an undisclosed sum.

-- Lightsource BP buys 100 MW of solar projects in Spain

Lightsource BP, the solar power company backed by BP Plc (LON:BP), announced it has acquired a 100-MW solar portfolio in Spain from local renewable energy firm Forestalia.

-- Mirova invests in 129-MWp portfolio of French PV

France’s Mirova has made a EUR-18-million equity investment in compatriot Corfu Solaire that will go towards a 129-MWp portfolio of solar projects in France.
