The asset management unit of German renewables operator Encavis AG (ETR:CAP) said it has acquired a 74.5-MW portfolio of wind parks in France for one of its special investment funds.

-- Mitsubishi holds 24% of 600-MW wind project in Laos - report

Mitsubishi Corp (TYO:8058) has purchased a 24% stake in a 600-MW onshore wind farm project in Laos that will be supplying power to Vietnam, Kyodo News reports.

-- E.on takes majority stake in German smart grid solutions start-up gridX

German energy company E.on SE (ETR:EOAN) has acquired a majority stake in Aachen-based smart grid solutions provider GridX GmbH as part of efforts to expand its portfolio of digital solutions for the transition to green energy.

-- Vestas sheds 250-MW US wind project to unnamed customer

Danish wind turbine maker Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) said its development arm in North America, Steelhead Americas, has sold a 250-MW wind project in the US to an undisclosed customer.

-- PPC, RWE to finalise 2-GW Greek solar JV in Oct - report

The green energy unit of Green utility PPC SA (ATH:PPC) and German energy major RWE AG (ETR:RWE) are expected to complete their roughly 2-GW solar joint venture (JV) in Greece at the start of next month, Energypress reports.

US renewable energy infrastructure investor Excelsior Energy Capital said it has acquired Class A tax equity interests in a 25-MW DC solar park in California from Santander Bank NA.

Germany-based renewable energy producer Pacifico Renewables Yield AG (ETR:PRY) said it is preparing to enter the UK market by purchasing stakes in 123 MW of solar park projects, in line with its growth strategy.

-- Statkraft sheds 36-MW Scottish wind farm to Greencoat

Norway's Statkraft AS has offloaded its 36-MW Andershaw wind park near Glasgow, Scotland, to renewable infrastructure fund Greencoat UK Wind Plc (LON:UKW) for some GBP 121 million.

-- Quinbrook snaps up 350-MW solar-battery project in England

Renewables infrastructure investor Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners said it has acquired a 350-MW solar-plus-storage project in Kent, South East England, for an undisclosed sum.

-- Octopus Energy selling stake to Al Gore-chaired fund

British renewable energy retailer Octopus Energy Group Ltd announced it has agreed to sell a 13% stake to UK-based sustainability-focused fund manager Generation Investment Management LLP, co-founded and chaired by former US vice-president Al Gore.

Babcock & Wilcox Enterprises Inc (NYSE:BW) is buying Denmark-based waste- and biomass-to-energy aftermarket parts and service provider VODA A/S and forming a platform for its renewable service business in Europe.

-- Iberdrola buys 190-MW Aussie solar project from RES

Spanish utility Iberdrola SA (BME:IBE) has acquired a 190-MW/245-MW DC solar project in New South Wales, Australia, from UK-based developer RES Group, the latter said.

-- SSE Renewables moves into Japan’s offshore wind market

SSE Renewables will pay USD 208 million to take an 80% stake in an offshore wind development platform from Pacifico Energy and its affiliates.

-- Solar fuel maker Synhelion buys CSP specialist Heliokon

Swiss solar fuel producer Synhelion SA has acquired German concentrated solar power (CSP) technology company Heliokon GmbH to expand into the neighbouring country and add complementary technologies to its portfolio.

-- India's Adani Green to acquire 40-MW solar park from Essel

Indian renewable power producer Adani Green Energy Ltd (BOM:541450) has agreed to acquire the owner of a 40-MW solar farm in the state of Odisha from compatriot Essel Green Energy Pvt Ltd (EGEPL).

-- UK Downing Renewables plans equity raising to fund acquisitions

Britain's Downing Renewables and Infrastructure Trust Plc (LON:DORE) said it will seek to raise up to GBP 25 million from the sale of new shares to further diversify its portfolio of green energy and infrastructure assets.

-- GIG buys rights for 260-MW offshore wind project in Sweden

Green Investment Group Ltd (GIG), part of Australian investment bank Macquarie Group Ltd (ASX:MQG), said it has acquired the rights for the Kattegatt Offshore Wind project, which is anticipated to install up to 260 MW in Swedish waters.
