-- Gulf Energy closes buy of 50% stake in Borkum Riffgrund 2

Thai energy company Gulf Energy Development PCL (BKK:GULF) has finalised the acquisition of a 50% stake in the 464.8-MW Borkum Riffgrund 2 offshore wind farm in the German North Sea.

-- Energiekontor offloads 9-MWp wind repowering project in Germany

German renewables developer and operator Energiekontor AG (ETR:EKT) said it has sold a 9-MWp wind farm repowering project that will soon go live in Germany’s North Rhine-Westphalia state.

-- Brazil's Cade okays AES Tiete's acquisition of 420-MW wind portfolio

Brazil's Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) has okayed the acquisition of a wind portfolio with a combined capacity of 420 MW by Brazilian power producer AES Tiete Energia SA.

-- Poland's Columbus Energy inks deal to buy 21.7 MW of solar projects

Polish photovoltaics (PV) installer Columbus Energy SA said it has signed an agreement to acquire the special purpose vehicles holding about 21.7 MW of solar projects.

-- Capital Dynamics to buy 316 MW of US solar capacity

The Clean Energy Infrastructure (CEI) business of asset manager Capital Dynamics has agreed to buy a 316-MW solar portfolio in the US from LS Power, it was announced.

-- Acciona buys 240-MW solar project in Texas

Spanish group Acciona SA (BME:ANA) has bought a 240-MW solar photovoltaic (PV) project in Fort Bend County, Texas, from Diode Ventures, an infrastructure developer owned by construction engineering company Black & Veatch.

-- Total to take over London EV charging network, green power it

French energy major Total SA (EPA:FP) said it has agreed to acquire the operator of electric vehicle (EV) charging network Source London from French transportation group Bollore (EPA:BOL).

-- UK Octopus Energy announces first US foray with startup acquisition

UK renewable energy supplier Octopus Energy said it has acquired Silicon Valley-based startup Evolve Energy in a USD-5-million deal as the first step of its expansion into the US.

-- Eolus to sell 68 MW of Swedish wind farms to Commerz Real

Project developer Eolus Vind AB (STO:EOLU-B) is to sell three wind farms with a combined capacity of 68 MW in southern Sweden to Germany's Commerz Real AG.

-- Spain's Greenalia buys 60 MWp of PV projects in Andalusia

Spanish renewable energy group Greenalia SA (BME:GRN) said it has acquired two developing solar photovoltaic (PV) projects totalling 60 MWp in the home country.

-- Libra Group's LatAm renewables business buys Colombian energy firm

The Libra Group, a diversified holdings company, said that its Latin American renewables unit has acquired Colombia-based sustainable energy business 2C Power.

-- Nationwide, Sol Systems JV buys 50-MW solar project in Louisiana

Helios Infrastructure, a joint venture (JV) between Sol Systems and insurance and financial services company Nationwide, has bought a 50-MW solar project in Louisiana for an undisclosed sum.

-- EDF Renewables to take 29% stake in French start-up Ecosun

France’s EDF Renewables announced the acquisition of a 29% stake in French start-up Ecosun Innovations, which specialises in microgrid solutions for remote locations.

-- Finerge buys 18 MW of solar plants in Portugal

Portuguese renewable power company Finerge Group has bought six photovoltaic (PV) farms with a combined capacity of 17.8 MW from Luxembourg-based company Luxbon Solar SA.

-- Octopus agrees conditional purchase of 175-MW Spanish PV bundle

Octopus Renewables Infrastructure Trust plc (LON:ORIT) has signed a conditional deal to buy a portfolio of Spanish solar projects totalling 175 MWp.

-- Adani Green wraps up purchase of 205 MW of fresh Indian solar

Indian solar power developer Adani Green Energy Ltd (BOM:541450) said it has finalised the acquisition of 205 MW of operating solar parks from compatriots Essel Green Energy Private Limited (EGEPL) and Essel Infraprojects Limited.

-- Voltalia to sell stake in 152-MW Brazilian wind farm to STOA

French renewable power producer Voltalia SA (EPA:VLTSA) announced the sale of a 33% stake in its 152-MW Ventos Serra do Mell III wind park in Brazil to investment fund STOA.

-- DSM sheds solar coatings ops alongside resins, functional materials businesses

Koninklijke DSM NV (AMS:DSM) has reached a EUR-1.6-billion (USD 1.88bn) deal to sell its Resins & Functional Materials business and associated activities, including the coatings activities of DSM Advanced Solar, to polymer company Covestro AG (ETR:1COV).

-- EDF Renewables buying owner of 100 MW of Irish PV assets

France’s EDF Renewables said it is acquiring Irish firm Wexford Solar Ltd and its portfolio of 100 MW of solar photovoltaic (PV) projects.

-- Petrobras starts binding stage for biofuels unit sale

Brazilian state-controlled oil and gas company Petroleo Brasileiro SA (BVMF:PETR4), or Petrobras, has started the binding phase in the sale process for its wholly-owned biofuels unit Petrobras Biocombustivel SA (PBIO).

-- CEE buys 24 MW of German wind projects from Juwi

Hamburg-based asset manager CEE Group has purchased 23.6 MW of wind turbine capacity in Germany from domestic renewables developer Juwi AG.

-- CPFL concludes 2nd stage of renewables unit integration

Brazilian energy company CPFL Energia (BVMF:CPFE3) has completed the second stage of the integration of its renewables unit CPFL Energias Renovaveis SA, it announced.

-- Vinci targets ACS' industrial unit and renewables platform with EUR 5.2bn bid

French concessions and construction group Vinci SA (EPA:DG) has offered to acquire the industrial services division of Spanish competitor Grupo ACS (BME:ACS) in a transaction that would cover a renewable energy development platform.

-- Easy Solar raises USD 5m for West Africa expansion

Easy Solar, which distributes solar energy solutions in West Africa, has raised USD 5 million in equity and debt financing to fund its expansion in the region.
