Here is a list of stories about new power purchase agreements (PPA), or tenders awarding such in Turkey, Oman, Taiwan and the Seychelles, covered by Renewables Now last week.

-- Oman starts RfP stage of 500-MW solar tender

The Oman Power and Water Procurement Company SAOC (OPWP) has issued a request for proposals (RfP) to each of the previously pre-qualified applicants in a 500-MW solar tender.

-- Macquarie closes proxy revenue swap and PPA for Lal Lal wind project

Macquarie Capital announced it has arranged both a corporate PPA and a proxy revenue swap (PRS) deal for the 228-MW Lal Lal Wind Farm project in Victoria, Australia.

-- Wirsol, SIMEC ZEN sign off-take deals for solar power in Australia

Australian renewable energy company SIMEC ZEN Energy, part of Sanjeev Gupta's GFG Alliance, will be buying most of the output of 199 MWp of Aussie solar parks owned by Wirsol Energy Ltd.

-- Turkey seeks bids for 1.2-GW offshore wind tender

Turkey launched an auction for 1.2 GW of offshore wind capacity, setting a price cap of USD 0.08 per kWh.

-- Seychelles opens tender for 4-MW floating solar plant

The Republic of the Seychelles on Thursday launched a competitive selection for a 4-MW salt-water floating solar power project in the Lagoon le Rocher.

-- Ørsted grabs 920 MW in Taiwan offshore wind auction

Denmark's Ørsted A/S (CPH:ORSTED) won 920 MW of offshore wind capacity in Taiwan's first offshore wind auction. It will now work to obtain the establishment permit and to secure the FiT by signing a PPA with Taipower.

-- Northland Power wins 744 MW more in Taiwan

Canada-based Northland Power Inc (TSE:NPI) has secured an additional 744 MW of capacity under Taiwan's offshore wind auction programme.

-- Ellomay seals PPA for 300-MW Spanish solar project

Israeli renewables company Ellomay Capital Ltd (TASE:ELLO) has struck a PPA for its 300-MWp Talasol solar photovoltaic (PV) project in Spain.

-- India releases RfS for 2.5-GW hybrid wind-solar projects

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) is seeking proposals for 2.5 GW of wind-solar hybrid projects across India in a tender capped at INR 2.93 (USD 0.043/EUR 0.037) per kWh. Successful bidders will be awarded 25-year PPAs.
