Wind farms builder Suvic said on Tuesday that it has been hired to install the infrastructure, foundations and cabling for all 14 turbines of the 90-MW Sandbacka wind project in Finland.

The land construction activities have already been started, while work on the turbine foundation will commence at the turn of August and September.

Sandbacka is the first project where Suvic is also conducting the land construction work with its own resources after acquiring its own earthmoving equipment, CEO Ville Vesanen noted in the statement.

Project Sandbacka, located northeast of Vaasa, is owned by Prime Capital AG. The German independent asset manager bought it from renewables developer Svevind AB and co-development partner AB Vindkraft i Skog in 2023. At the time, it was planned as a 90-MW-plus project.
