Wind, hydro project of USD 14bn to prop up Lesotho - report

Oct 27, 2011 - The first phase of a wind and hydro project worth a total of ZAR 110 billion (USD 14bn/EUR 10bn) will get underway in Lesotho in 2012, the South African Broadcasting Corp reported on Wednesday.

When completed, the project will produce 6,000 MW of energy from wind and 4,000 MW from hydro power, project manager Joe Mollo was cited as saying in the report.
