PNE wins 24 MW of onshore wind projects in German auction
Sep 19, 2024 8:35 CEST(SeeNews) – Dec 7, 2012 – German wind power developer Windreich AG said yesterday it plans to construct four more wind farms in Canada after it completed its first farm in the region in 2011.
Windreich added that three projects with a capacity of 50 MW have been approved by the authorities. The company will soon receive a construction permit for the fourth project.
Windreich explained that the strong winds in the region make the projects attractive for possible partners.
The firm constructed its first wind farm in Ontario, some 100 km (62 miles) north-west of Toronto, in 2011. Windreich received an order for the building of the farm earlier the same year.
With the energy produced by the wind farms some 250,000 people can be supplied with eco-friendly electricity, which will reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by 38 tonnes.
