Renewables rise and Russian gas declines, says EC report
Sep 12, 2024 11:11 CESTFeb 15, 2013 - Wirsol Benelux, part of German photovoltaics (PV) specialist Wirsol Solar AG, has agreed to sell five solar parks with combined capacity of 3.12 MW in the Flanders region in Belgium to Danish investment fund Obton A/S, pv magazine reported yesterday.
The facilities are built on industrial rooftops and have annual electricity output of 2,586 MWh. The whole portfolio was financed by ING Bank, Wirsol was quoted as saying. The project contributes to Belgium’s renewable energy expansion and helps building owners lower their electricity bills.
Wirsol and Obton intend to develop further solar projects in Belgium, particularly in the regions of Brussels and Wallonia.
