Solar energy platform X-Noor has been contracted to install solar panels on the rooftop and car park of engineered products and services provider John Crane’s regional headquarters in Dubai.

X-Noor has signed a 10-year solar lease agreement with John Crane Middle East FZE as part of the US firm’s vision for a greener future and overall net-zero strategy, according to a statement released on Tuesday.

Upon completion of the project, the solar power installations are expected to generate 785 MWh of clean electricity annually.

X-Noor is a newly established joint venture (JV) between Spain-based solar developer X-Elio and Dubai-based infrastructure, energy and construction conglomerate Dutco. The company seeks to partner with industrial and commercial customers to decarbonise their business operations.
