Yingli Energy (China) Co Ltd will supply 25 MW of solar photovoltaic (PV) modules this year to Sun City for the construction of water supply systems and other infrastructure in Yemen.

This PV purchase by Sun City is part of a new strategic cooperation agreement signed by the two companies, which also covers promoting the use of renewable energy in the Middle East. The partners have also agreed to actively explore the distributed PV market and gradually bolster in-depth cooperation in brand building and downstream development.

The signing of this new deal deepens an existing cooperation between the two firms that started in 2018. Since then, the cumulative supply of solar panels as part of this partnership has exceeded 28 MW.
