Iberdrola inaugurates 496-MW Saint-Brieuc wind farm offshore France
Sep 19, 2024 16:25 CESTThe Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) has received an application for the construction of a 107.8-MW solar power station in the province of Matabeleland North, western Zimbabwe.
In a public notice cited by local daily newspaper The Chronicle, ZERA says that Power Ventures (Private) Limited had applied to build the above-mentioned solar park at Chidome Ward in Hwange District. The project developer plans to sell the electricity generated by the plant to the Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC).
Included in this project is the construction of a 75-km Double Lynx line to connect the solar park to the existing 33-kV Hwange substation.
Comments on the application can be submitted by July 26.
